Dominic Fareri Ph.D.

Postdoctoral scholar

Dominic is a postdoctoral scholar in the Developmental Affective Neuroscience Lab. Dominic completed his Ph.D. in Psychology at Rutgers University.  He employed behavioral, physiological and functional neuroimaging methods towards investigations of how varied social contexts influence the value we attach to experienced rewards (e.g., whether we share positive experiences with close members of our social networks or those less close to us).  Dominic is interested in characterizing changes over time in structural and functional connectivity between areas such as medial prefrontal cortex, the striatum and the amygdala as a means toward better understanding how valuation of socio-emotional experiences changes throughout development.
